End of the year Greetings!

As 2009 is coming to an end it's time for reflection on another year gone by.. It is also a wonderful time to look to the future and expect bright new beginnings and glorious tomorrows yet to come. Monday after Christmas and back to work time for most of us.. I'm happy to say that my hubby kindly took down our 3 Christmas trees over the weekend.. Yes, you read right.. 3 Christmas trees. We really love our Christmas season around here but once it's over it seems almost sad to look at the brightly lit trees and decorations so I am happy once everything is packed safely away until next year. Ken puts up a zillion of lights outside as well and often cars stop to gaze some moments before driving by. These will come down in the coming day or so as well.. The holiday is our most favorite time of the year and we love to make a winter wonderland of our home for a few weeks every year.

We watched another movie last night. Geez I sometimes go many months without watching a single film but lately we seem to watch alot.. The movie du jour was Ricochet starring a very young and may I say, extremely handsome, Denzel Washington along with Ice-T and John Lithgow. Somehow we have this on dvd, I believe it was bought as a bargain at Walmart somewhere along the line. It is an older film, from 1991 but a pretty good story albeit a bit violent for my tastes.. But, I will watch anything starring Denzel, he is one of my very favorite actors.

Designing Away for the Love of Fashion Jewelry!

Christmas has come and gone.. Whew! The holiday flew by this year.. Did I go shopping the day after Christmas and grab up all of the bargains out there? Nope.. I thought it a great idea to stay home and redesign my site, EnchantingJewels.com to give it a new look and new flair for the upcoming new year.

Anyhoo... Being the web geek that I am, I did spend the 26th of December piecing together and coming up with just the right design to enter 2010. I was complimented much on the Christmas design I had and I will likely make this design available to others later.. I wanted to capture the spirit of feminine elegance that is the soul and flavor of Enchanting Jewels. In addition to spending way too many hours sitting in front of my computer screen this weekend, I did also manage to watch the movie Julie and Julia, a total chick flick (lol) My husband sat by watching as well but I believe it is something truly geared more to the female heart and mind. I would have to say it is both light and funny and good for anyone who like me, has cooked many complex dishes in the hopes of being a miniature gourmet.. Would I consider myself a "foodie"? Hmm, maybe.. I certainly appreciate the talent and skills involved in such levels of cooking.. However, I believe I am far too squeemish to attempt many of the recipes that Julie Powell did. God bless her for her bravery.. I give the move a definite thumbs up, particularly on a Sunday evening when the mood is mellow and relaxed as mine was :)
